“The Glass Sector Meeting” organized by Cement, Glass, Ceramics and Soil Products Exporters' Association was held online on 23 July 2020. More than 145 people including glass exporter company representatives attended the meeting. Turkish Glass Sector, with the  emphasis on their will to increase export shares, will continue to make a significant contribution to Turkey’s economy with its domestic added value ratio in exports in the future, as it has always been.

The Glass Sector Meeting started with the opening speech of Tansu Kumru, Deputy Chairman of the Board, and followed by speeches of Erdem Çenesiz, Chairman of the Board and İsmail Gülle, Chairman of Turkish Exporters Assembly. In the sequel, Tansu Kumru presented Turkey’s and the world's glass industry export and import figures along with the activities carried out by TurkishGlass to increase export. The meeting continued with the presentation titled "Developments in the Economy and Expectations in the New Normal Period" by Dr. Can Fuat Gürlesel, consultant of the Association.

At the end of the meeting, possible measures to increase the level of competition of Turkish glass industry were discussed, and the questions of the participants were answered.
